The lane closures are set to begin with stage 1 of construction on April 15, 2025
This project is needed to address the aging Church Street Bridge. It will address the deteriorating bridge deck and overall structure of the bridge, storm drainage, and pedestrian access both to and on the bridge.
No, there will be no night work on this project.
Normal construction noise can be expected during the daytime hours. Construction will not take place during the hours restricted by the City of Greenville nighttime noise ordinance.
Yes, SCDOT is improving the overall structure of the bridge, including a rehabilitated bridge deck, improved bridge drainage system, new stair system, new lighting on the bridge, painted girders, and a much wider 9 ft. sidewalk with delineation fencing.
